Never Fear - Jesus is Here

I am amazed that so many Christians are getting their knickers in a twist about the new film Da Vinci Code. I understand that that they don’t like it because most of it make false claims about Jesus and the Church, however it seems that this film gives us a great opportunity to talk to people about our faith in Jesus. There is no doubt that many people have a real hunger for something spiritual and this just gives us another reason to tell them about Jesus. Is almost as if some Christians are not secure in their own faith. Do they really think that a book and film are any real threat to the King of kings and the Lord of lords? The truth of the gospel does not need defending in this way, it stands up for its self. Read the book or watch the film and then lets talk about the real Jesus.

Over the last 6 months I have become a convert to digital radio, I highly recommend it. I now have two of them one big one in the kitchen, a Pure Evoke 2xt and another small portable one the Pure PocketDAB 1000. There are loads of great stations from the BBC and Commercial stations and you even get to listen to stations like BBC World Service, my personal favourite, that you can’t normally get.

Deep - Watch it online now!

Deep is the new video resource from The Message which I have been working on for the past 6 months. It features Blush, LZ7 and Andy Hawthorne. It's a six session course designed to inform and inspire young people about how amazing Jesus is and what is life, death and resurrection means to us today.

You can now watch session one online to give you an idea of what you can expect. The DVD is also jam packed with extras such as music videos, never before seen behind the scenes footage, more wide words, LZ7 at Abby Road studios and loads more. Peace

The last few weeks have been a little strange to be honest, my gran Kathleen Rowbottom passed away a few days ago. She lived an amazing life and was always so full of joy but the thing that struck me most near the end of her life was the overwhelming peace she had. Like us my gran was a Christian and you could really tell by the way she was ready to meet her maker. It was truly amazing. I guess that is one of the great things about knowing Jesus. She will be missed greatly but we know that she is truly in a better place with her Lord and Saviour.

20 Week Scan

Time seems to be going so fast at the moment. It does not seem long ago that we had our 12 week scan and now we have had the 20 week one. The baby is doing really well which is great and it has grown so much that this time you can only see the head and shoulders.

Welcome

This is the first post on our new blog. Over the next few months we will be posting lots of family news, we are expecting our first baby in September and no doubt we will be uploading loads of videos and pictures. Here is the first picture, it's the baby at our 13 week scan!
